Real-Life Memory Crystals

Scientists in the U.K. have created “Superman crystals”! Although their appearance is unlike what you would be in the Superman movies, data can be stored little glass discs under extreme conditions. This article was really interesting, considering that it is like something inside of a comic. Who would have thought that something that was meant to be imaginary would become real? The data is stored inside tiny structures in glass, and each glass disc can hold up to 360 terabytes of data (equal to 22,500 basic iPhones). My favorite part about them is that they can last for billions of years. Everything humans have learned stored for billions of years. The scientists are now trying to commercialize the technology.
