Leap Year

This passage was about, well, Leap year. This was also about how the Leap Year was originated. Leap Year originated because a Year in real life on earth is 365 ¼  days, but actually a solar year is 365.24219. This means that our real calendar is out by approximately a quarter of a day. In the year of 45 B.C. a man named Julius Caesar began to add a day every 4 years. He then made a calendar called the “Julius calendar”. And also in the year of 1582 A.D. a slight discrepancy on the calendar, the “Julius calendar”, added up to 10 days. So because of this Pope Gregory XIII made his own calendar called the “Gregorian calendar” which this established February 29th as the official Leap Year date.

My thought of this blog was very interesting and I thought that this was well written. I never knew this much about Leap year so the topic of this made it very interesting.
