Colorblind?

Can you imagine being colorblind? Many people struggle everyday, seeing colors. For example, many people who are colorblind can not see the color on the  traffic light so many people just go if they think the road looks clear, this causes many accidents. There is no cure, but the company EnChroma has created glasses that help people see the colors more vividly. Colorblindness does not mean you can't see any colors, it just means some colors blend and look duller than others.
These glasses help people who absorb too much green light, see certain colors more clearly. They can also help people whose eyes did not absorb enough green light. Seeing too much or too little green changes they way you see all the colors. These glasses may not completely allow you to see all the different shades of each color, but at least allow to see the difference between some colors and shades of colors. These glasses help by shielding your eyes from the part of the spectrum where red and green overlap the most. These glasses even help people who aren't colorblind by just making it look different.
I found this story interesting because this is a new way for people who are color blind see their lives. These glasses could lead to a cure eventually. Since they have discovered how to create these glasses, maybe someday they will be able to figure out a way to do something to someone's eyes. I think these glasses could be a step into our future.

India’s $4.00 Smartphone

I think this was an interesting story of how there is a new smartphone in India that cost only 251 rupees ($3.65). The smartphone actually has a 4-inch display, 1.3-GHz quad core processor, and 8GB of storage. Pankaj Mohindroo, national president of the Indian Cellular Association, claims that it seems to be a joke or a scam. He also claims that when using the cheapest components, a phone should cost at least 2700 rupees ($40), and with taxes it would cost at least 3500 rupees ($52). Which just leads to this: Is it too good to be true?

I think this is interesting because, seriously, I’ve never heard of a phone that cost $4.00. I wanted to read the story because I found it weird and unusual for a phone to be priced at $4, so I decided to keep reading about it.

2017 Corvette

The Corvette ZO6 is a sweet car. It has about 460-horsepower LT1 V-8 engine. It can get up to 62 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds. It comes in different summer colors. Chevrolet is the brand of the car. It will be for sale in 2017. Chevy claims the Corvette GS rounds General Motors' own Milford Proving Ground circuit within 0.6 seconds of the last-generation ZR1. Which is really cool also. This is a sweet car and I wish I could own it when I am 16 years old.

Apple iPhone Virus

Apple has found a virus that makes your phone tell you that your battery is high but really your phone is about to die.To fix this problem Apple suggests that you reset your phone, then go to Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure that "Set Automatically" is turned on. They believe that this routine should get rid of the virus, but if the problem happens again then Apple suggests you contact Apple support. Apple is still trying to find a way to eliminate the virus from all Apple iPhones.

I chose this article because I can relate to it because my phone has this virus. I also chose it because it seems like an interesting topic and I wanted to learn more about it. Now I know what to do  when that happens again to my phone.
